The difference between high pressure roller mill and traditional crushing equipment

The high pressure roller mill is very similar in form to the traditional double roller crusher, but there are two differences in essence.

One is that the high-pressure roller mill implements quasi-static crushing, which saves about 30% of energy consumption compared with impact crushing;

Second, it implements material layer crushing for materials, which is mutual crushing between materials and materials, with high crushing efficiency, and the extrusion stress between materials can be adjusted by roller pressure. Two rollers rotate opposite each other, one is fixed roller and the other is adjustable distance. The pressure between the rollers can generally reach 1500 to 3000 atmospheres, and the crushed products can reach 2mm, which realizes “more crushing and less grinding” and becomes a new type of crushing equipment that replaces grinding with crushing. Because of its powerful force, it not only pulverizes the material, but also cracks the internal structure of the material particles, thereby greatly improving the grinding capacity.

1. Coarse grain closed-circuit roller mill wet tail throwing process

In the process of using this machine for ore processing, the wet tail throwing of coarse-grained closed-circuit roller milling is a common process. The following figure shows the main process flow:

In the specific application of this process, the abrasive cake is mainly screened through a closed circuit, so that the particle size of the product processed by the high-pressure roller mill can always be controlled within a range that is very suitable for sorting and tailing, and finally achieve the purpose of pre-throwing the tail.

1. Partial ball milling process of closed-circuit roller mill

Through a large number of production practices and related tests, it is found that the ore products obtained by the high-pressure roller mill not only have a finer particle size, but also achieve a substantial increase in the content of mineral powder. Among them, the content of materials within 0.2mm can reach 30 %-40%, the material of this fineness level can meet the ore sorting requirements in most cases, so for this kind of product, the sorting operation can be carried out directly after classifying it.

At the same time, in the process of using high-pressure roller mill for ore beneficiation and ore crushing production, under the action of side material effect, there will be a small part of ore particles with excessive particle size inside the extrusion cake. If this part is directly used During the grinding or beneficiation operation, the corresponding work flow will fluctuate greatly, which will bring a certain degree of adverse impact on the beneficiation production.

Therefore, in the process of beneficiation production by the mechanical equipment, in order to avoid such problems, it is necessary to carry out closed-circuit circulation screening of the material cake after extrusion processing by the high-pressure roller mill. In this way, the particle size of the product in the cake can be strictly controlled to prevent the process fluctuation caused by the entry of the ore with too large particle size into the ball milling operation. And make it directly into the selection process. Such a method can not only achieve a substantial reduction in the amount of ore feeding in the ball milling process, but also effectively avoid over-grinding of fine-grained ores, thereby comprehensively improving the efficiency and quality of beneficiation.

3 Other forms of typical process flow process
